Ugandan Applicants for Degree programs should hold either
- UCE & UACE Certificate with 2 Principal Passes OR
- Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning OR
- A Pass in Mature Age Examination.
Kenyan Applicants for Degree should hold either
- KCSE holders must have a minimum grade of C+ and above. OR
- KACE, 'GCE or A-levels' applicants must have at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent. OR
- A Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
Tanzanian Applicants for Degree should hold at least either
- TCE & TACE Certificate with at least 2 Principal Passes OR
- Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
- International applicants must have qualifications that are recognized for University entry in their respective countries.

Programme Highlights
This 3-year full-time multidisciplinary program integrates knowledge and management of complex interactions between natural environmental processes, the environment and human activities, with emphasis placed on sustainable development and environmental management.
The knowledge and skills imparted to BES graduates include widely applicable expertise in information technology, environmental microbiology, environmental chemistry, GIS, environmental economics, environmental policy, law and ethics, EIA, environmental modelling, and other emerging technologies. Graduates are also well-equipped for further education at postgraduate level anywhere in the world.
Career Prospects
The Environment programs are aimed at equipping graduates with the knowledge, skills, and scientific basis to develop and/or maintain appropriate and sustainable technical solutions to environmental problems such as: pollution mitigation, climate change adaptation, waste management and remediation. Graduates can work as District Environment Officers, Environmental Analysts, EIA Experts, Environment Inspectors, Lecturers, NGO Project Managers, Environmental Consultants, Researchers, among others.
