Trinity/May Intake - Modular at Main/Mukono campus

Two years

Graduates acquire knowledge and skills to relate the science, technology, and engineering theory to the practice and application in managing water and sanitation services.

The program is meant for a small class each year holding various technical, administrative, and managerial positions in public and private water and sanitation utilities, and non-governmental, community-based, and non-profit organizations who work closely with the public in providing water and sanitation in rural and urban areas. The compact modular offering (including an intermediate Postgraduate Diploma in Water & Sanitation) allows practitioners to extend their professional development within their current employment.

Due to the broad nature of the programme, a water and sanitation professional usually works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of specialists team including (bio) chemists, (micro) biologists, epidemiologists, medical workers, environmental scientists, social scientists, social advocates, ecologists, managers, surveyors, and geographers etc. Graduates from this program can work in research, academia, industry and non-governmental organizations.
