Mr. Richard Sebaggala has been a lecturer of Economics at Uganda Christian University, Faculty of Business and Administration since 2007. He is currently the Head of Oil and Gas Unit at the School of Research and Postgraduate Studies.  Richard completed his Master of Science degree in Quantitative Economics and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Education majoring in Economics from Makerere University. His research interests lie in the area of Development Economics, natural resource economics, family, marriage and development, health, inequality and poverty, and labour market outcomes.

Richard is also an Associate Research Fellow with Policy Analysis and Development Research Institute. Between 2011 and 2012, Richard worked as a Research Manager with Programme for Accessible Health, Communication and Education. Over the years, Richard has independently designed both quantitative and qualitative research studies for programme evaluation, managed large field work data collection activities, data management and analysis.

He has also participated in numerous research projects and consultancies that have necessitated the application of econometric modeling, quantitative survey research designs, qualitative research methods, data analysis and report writing.
