George has over 14 publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in books. He has supervised master’s degree students to completion and has facilitated short courses and trainings on; Regional Human Rights Systems and the History of Human Rights in Uganda, Humanitarian Law, Laws and Policies which Affect Safe Motherhood, and Sexual and Reproductive Rights.

Before joining UCU in January 2016, he had worked as Acting Dean, Faculty of Law, Bishop Stuart University where he played a key role in the establishment of the Faculty of Law. He has also been External Examiner LL.M Programme at Nelson R. Mandela School of Law and University of Fort Hare, South Africa, (November 2012 – Present). He has also been External Examiner LL.B Programme at St. Augustine International University, Kampala, Uganda since July 2017 to date.

Earlier on, he worked as Magistrate, District Court Entebbe (1980-81); Assistant General Development Officer, USAID/Lesotho (1988 —1993); Part-time Lecturer, Institute of Extra Mural Studies (IEMS), National University of Lesotho (1989 – 2002); External Examiner for Business Law and Law of Contract, St. Elizabeth Training Institute Mohales Hoek, Lesotho and Lerotholi Polytechnic. He was also Senior Legal Officer, (Legal Advisor to the Government of Lesotho) and part-time lecturer for the MA Human Rights Programme in the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, Makerere University.

George holds an LL.M of University of Hull, UK, B.A [Law] of National University of Lesotho Roma, Lesotho, and Diploma in Law and Judicial Practice (LDC), Kampala, Uganda.
