Martin is a Management Consultant and Senior Lecturer, Uganda Christian University and currently Dean, Faculty of Business & Administration since 2014.

Martin has a Doctorate of Business Leadership (University of South Africa), a Masters of Business Administration (ESAMI/ Maastricht University, Netherland), a Masters of Public Administration (University of Oklahoma, US), a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Makerere University, Uganda.) He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Governance (Rotterdam Institute, Netherlands). His research interests are in the area of management, small medium enterprise, family business and governance.

Martin has published 10 books, a book chapter, refereed journal articles and over 100 opinion and editorial articles in mainstream papers. He has presented academic papers at Conferences in Uganda, Palestine, France, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. He has served as a Lead Consultant/ Principal Investigator and Consultant on Policy and Governance. His clients have included World Bank, European Union, USAID, Center for Disease Control, UNDP, Mastercard, BTC, DFID, Ford Foundation, Democratic Governance Facility, World Wide Fund, World Vision, Marie Stopes International, Government of Uganda and private sector entities.

Martin serves as editor of Business and Economic Management Review Journal, based at UCU.  He has been the convener of the annual SME Conference.
